After Dark

After Dark

Featuring John Morton on vocals, After Dark is one of the most in-demand, all occasion groups.

John Morton's warm, husky baritone is immediately recognizable to musicians and audiences alike. After spending a considerable time performing in this area, John left for California where he sang with a cornucopia of notable groups, i.e. the Pete Escovedo Orchestra, Zazu Pitts Memorial Orchestra, and Montuno Street. He was also associated with the likes of the Yellowjackets, and Tower of Power. The power and strength that he acquired resulted in giving him the polish that it takes to be "The Man" in front of the band. John's professional demeanor, his understanding of musical styles, and his intimate relationship with the music has led him to be labeled as a musician among vocalists.

John's extensive musical experience comes through when he lets loose on a swingin' bebop tune, caresses a ballad, wails some blustery blues, or drills a funky R&B tune right into your heart. With that Lou Rawls-Stevie Wonder-Al Jarreau style and an irrepressible energy, you can be certain that John Morton and After Dark will bring your occasion or event the versatility that you need and the quality you deserve.
