Kelvis

Rick Smith Jr

A winner of countless regional and national Elvis impersonator competitions, it’s remarkable that “Kelvis” has only been performing as Elvis since 2001. What started as a joke for family quickly became more serious to this true Elvis fan. Kevin’s stage attire went from one homemade suit to an array of gorgeous jumpsuits, including an authentic Aloha reproduction, custom-made for $3,000 by B & K Enterprises.

After placing third in his very first Elvis competition at the 2002 Cuyahoga County Fair, Kevin advanced to the national finals in Las Vegas where he placed thirteenth. Other prizes include first place at the 2005 Cuyahoga Co. Fair, second place at the 2004 Lake George, NY Elvis competition, and second place at the 2004 Indiana State Fair Elvis contest. Kevin also appeared on Fox 8 In the Morning, the I-X Center, and for the Make A Wish Foundation.

Kevin’s goal as an Elvis tribute artist is to keep Elvis’ memory alive and to help create a new generation of Elvis fans.
