John Morton

John Toula

Expertly versed in R&B, jazz, gospel, pop and blues, John Morton has been one of the most dynamic, in-demand vocalists in Northeast Ohio ever since he played his first professional gig nearly 30 years ago. His warm, husky baritone is immediately recognizable to musicians and audiences alike. Rich and round, full of life, subtle when necessary, aggressive at the drop of a drumstick, his voice has been polished and matured through thousands of performances.

Career highlights include: Cleveland Pops Orchestra featured vocalist; Starlight Pops Orchestra featured vocalist; Sacred Ellington Concerts featured vocalist (conducted by David Berger of New York's Lincoln Center); Associate performer for Tri-C Jazzfest outreach program; performed with Bob James and Earl Klugh; leader of "After Dark," one of the high-profile, all-occassion bands at Jerry Bruno Productions.

John's professional demeanor, his understanding of musical styles and of music itself has led him to be recognized as a musician among vocalists. He has had the best and most demanding of teachers: experience.
