Matthew Skitzki

Matthew Skitzki has given full length classical and jazz solo piano recitals and worked with professional salsa, rock, swing, and modern jazz bands. At 22, he has already performed in New York, Colorado, Detroit, and Houston. Matthew holds the organist position at Maple Heights Presbyterian Church.

A native of Cleveland, Matthew recently finished two undergraduate degrees at Bowling Green State University: one in jazz piano and one in classical piano. He has also studied piano and organ at the Cleveland Institute of Music.

Matthew performs regularly in the Toledo and Cleveland areas, is an instructor at the Firelands School of Music in Sandusky, and has taught college-level courses in jazz. He has also composed sacred, choral, symphonic, and jazz works.
