Mark Maliniak- Trumpet

Mike Fisher

A native of Cleveland, Mark Maliniak is currently enrolled in the M.M. graduate degree program at The Cleveland Institute of Music as a student of Michael Sachs, Principal Trumpet of The Cleveland Orchestra. In the summer of 2007, Mark attended the Texas Music Festival in Houston, Texas as a fellowship recipient, performing with the TMF Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra, Brass Choir and Brass Quintet. Mark has spent time playing in the pit orchestra for the annual summer musical productions held at Cain Park in Cleveland Heights. For three seasons, he also performed regularly at Severance Hall as a member of The Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra.

Mark’s previous teachers include former Cleveland Orchestra trumpeter Geoffrey Hardcastle, David Duro from the Preparatory Division at The Cleveland Institute of Music and Jack Brndiar from Baldwin-Wallace College. Mark earned a Bachelor of Music degree in 2008 through the Baldwin-Wallace College Conservatory of Music studying with Cleveland Orchestra Second Trumpet, Jack Sutte.
