Mark Maliniak- Trumpet

A native of Cleveland, Mark Maliniak is currently enrolled in the M.M. graduate degree program at The Cleveland Institute of Music as a student of Michael Sachs, Principal Trumpet of The Cleveland Orchestra.

In 2009, he was selected as a trumpet fellowship recipient at Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara, California, where he performed with the MAW Festival Orchestra and worked closely with the Canadian Brass. Mark has also spent time playing in the pit orchestra for the annual summer musical productions held at Cain Park in Cleveland Heights. For three seasons, he also performed regularly at Severance Hall as a member of The Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra.

Mark earned a Bachelor of Music degree in 2008 through the Baldwin-Wallace College Conservatory of Music, studying with Cleveland Orchestra Second Trumpet, Jack Sutte. That same year he was appointed Second Trumpet with the Youngstown Symphony Orchestra and has frequently performed with the Canton Symphony and Firelands Symphony Orchestras.

In 2007 Mark attended Texas Music Festival in Houston, Texas as a fellowship recipient performing with the TMF Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra, Brass Choir and Brass Quintet.
